''Ces Gars-là '' Surpasses All Expectations
Montreal, Wednesday March 12, 2014 – Ces gars-là, starring Sugar Sammy and Simon Olivier Fecteau, marks the successful return of fiction to V Télé. Three weeks after the series debut, once the final numbers had been calculated, the first episode’s combined audience ratings, including digital recordings, jumped from 487,200 to 632,000 viewers (2+), a considerable increase of 30%.
“We were expecting a significant rise in the average audience once all alternative viewing modes were combined, knowing that the show is addressed to a young audience who frequently watches television on demand or time-shifted. That being said, the numbers unveiled today greatly exceed our expectations,” says Diane Patenaude, V Interactions’ Senior Director and head of Marketing. Add to these already impressive numbers 80,000 visits on vtele.ca totalling 110,000 views of the first episode. The total ratings continue to increase daily and do not include any views via the V Mobile app. “V is very happy with Ces gars-là’s success as well as the public’s engagement, especially since this interest has been so prevalent on social media,” concludes Diane Patenaude.
As part of V’s “Mega-Funny Mondays”, Sugar Sammy and Simon Olivier Fecteau star in Ces gars-laÌ€, a modern comedy produced by Zone3 – A MeÌdias. The series marks V’s return to fiction and is broadcast Mondays at 8 p.m.
