You’re Gonna Rire is Canada’s first-ever bilingual comedy show, designed to unite the two solitudes under one roof. Reviews have been unanimously positive from both sides of the linguistic divide, with francos and anglos both having fun laughing at themselves and each other. Especially during the improv’d portions of the show when he digs deep into the audience to find out exactly which stereotypes he can blow out from one night to the next. You never know who you’re sitting next to at a Sugar Sammy show or how many secrets they’ll reveal!

“Oui, most are gonna rire their derrières off. But…You’re Gonna Rire… is more than a comedy spectacle. It is also a bold and unique Montreal cultural experience.” – Bill Brownstein, Montreal Gazette.

Joining him onstage are his official ‘homies’, who have all received accolades for their contributions to this run of shows: DJ YoC who’s Old School/Nu skool mixes get the crowd moving; host Dan Bingham, who welcomes the audience with a brief English set and Franco-Ontarian Nile Séguin who does a French set.

Two weeks ago, Sugar Sammy was also bestowed the Créa Award, for his performances in the Vidéotron television commercials. The Créa is awarded to the top Québec ad campaign and voted on by the Association des agences de publicité du Québec (AAPQ). This is the first time that an English campaign has won the award.
